John Ertman- is a professional Actor, Director, Writer, and Recording Artist based in New York City. Most recent work: Lead/Soloist in Fifty-Seven: A New Musical (Love Productions and Irving Street Rep/APAP 2023), Newman The Human in Itchin' For An Itch: The Mosquitical (NYMTF), and Max in Beautiful Secrets (Radio Play) (Maya Bacerra Prod.). John has directed over 20 productions in music theatre and remote-immersive theatre and was most recently the Resident Director of Candle House Collective (CHC). Recent work: Claws (CHC-  2x Winner of Best Immersive Experience), Next Time (CHC-Official Selection of 2021 FIVARS Film Festival), and Each and Every (CHC- Official Selection of 2021 DenverFilm). John is a prolific writer in both the music theatre and pop music indsutries. He has performed in both the US and UK and has had his music recorded at world-class studios (such as Abbey Road, Power Station NE, The Bridge, and Reservoir) and with Grammy Award winning and Top-Ten Billboard Artists (such as Roy Hendrickson and Alexander Kariotis). He has written one musical, Alone (Co-music/lyrics, book) which received a world premiere reading with the American Music Theatre Project and is currently in post-production for a concept album. He has recorded two albums and releases songs once a month on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major streaming platforms. John graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Theatre & Legal Studies, a Certificate in Music Theatre, and a Module in Creating the Musical. John is a proud Member of Actors' Equity Association.
